Vallecitos, Mendoza
Normal Route
Itinerary:
1st Day: Meeting at the hostel and coordination of services with the guide and transportation schedules.
2nd Day: Transportation from Mendoza to Vallecitos (2880 meters above sea level), lunch, and a short acclimatization trek.
3rd Day: Trekking ascent to Lomas Blancas Hill (3640 meters above sea level) and descent to Mendoza Hostel.
Suggested personal equipment:
- Sun hat and wool balaclava.
- Sunglasses with UV filter.
- Neck scarf.
- Sunglasses (UV filter).
- Flashlight with spare batteries.
- Canteen (1 to 2 liters).
- Thin gloves and a pair of thick, preferably waterproof gloves.
- Trekking shoes.
- Comfortable shoes for the shelter.
- 3 or 4 pairs of warm socks.
- Set of underwear.
- Jogging or sportswear set.
- Fleece jacket.
- Warm jacket, preferably waterproof.
- Sunscreen (cream).
- Neck scarf.
- Warm sleeping bag.
- Waterproof pants.
- Gaiters.
- Small backpack (around 50 liters).
Included:
High Mountain Guide:
- One (1) Bilingual Professional Trekking Guide. Their service is provided from Mendoza and throughout the entire journey until the return to the city of Mendoza.
- Guides are equipped with radios and cell phones to communicate with the refuge, Mendoza, or transportation in case of emergencies.
- We ensure that the guide-to-client ratio does not exceed three clients per guide or assistant, depending on the group, to guarantee the well-being of the group.
Hostel in the City of Mendoza:
This option is priced per person for participants who do not need or do not want the hostel in Mendoza and is not included in the package.
- Two nights in a hostel with breakfast included. In rooms based on the number of participants, with or without a private bathroom.
Transportation:
- From the hostel in the city to Vallecitos.
- From Vallecitos back to the hostel in the city.
Refuge in Vallecitos:
- One Night – Rooms for 8 people.
- We include lunch, dinner, and breakfast at the refuge.
- Meals come with juice – No alcoholic beverages.
Marching Meals:
- Meals for the ascent. We include in the lunch packs: 1 alfajor, 1 cereal bar, 1 chocolate bar, 2 juice packets, candies, 2 sandwiches with sliced bread, cheese, and cold cuts.
- Meals for the high-altitude camps, such as pasta with sauce, primavera rice, mashed potatoes with sausages, etc.
High-Altitude Tents:
- The tents are North Face type or similar, and we maintain a ratio of two or three people per tent depending on the number of participants, always aiming to carry an adequate weight in the backpacks.
Personal Accident Insurance:
- Insurance is provided per person and per day of specific mountain or adventure activity.
Safety Equipment:
- In all our activities, guides carry radios (handy), cell phones, a communal first aid kit, ropes, helmets, harnesses, etc. (different safety equipment is specifically for the various activities).
- Equipment such as ropes, harnesses, helmets, carabiners, rock anchors, zipline pulleys, rappelling systems (figure 8), and safety system anchors are all UIAA-approved – International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation.

- The suggested equipment for the activity is not included in the budget.
Food and Beverages:
- Food and beverages at the hostel in the city of Mendoza.
- Alcoholic beverages at the mountain refuge.
Extra Expenses:
- Any other expense not included in the services provided.
- Extra costs incurred due to abandonment of the program will be borne solely and exclusively by the participant.
